The idea behind BillionAndroids was born more than ten years ago.

At that time, Android was rapidly growing. New devices were being released at an incredible pace, making it harder and harder for people to choose the right phone or tablet. Specs were confusing, comparisons were fragmented, and clear guidance was often missing. We believed there had to be a better way: a digital assistant that helps people make confident, well-informed decisions.

What sounded simple turned out to be a serious challenge.

We were a small, multidisciplinary team, and building such a platform required a wide range of skills: structured data collection, database normalization, backend development, frontend design, and making all of it work together in a scalable and maintainable way. Progress was steady but demanding, and the project evolved alongside the Android ecosystem itself.

Despite the challenges, we stayed committed to the original vision.

Today, BillionAndroids is live. The platform has launched with a solid foundation and will continue to grow and improve over time. Our goal remains exactly the same as it was ten years ago: to help users choose the Android device that truly fits their needs, based on clear comparisons, reliable data, and practical insights.
